When Saga started out in the late '70s, their culmination of keyboards and guitar presented them with a sound that was nothing short of progressive. As the '80s approached, they began to slim down their long instrumental rock suites and play shorter songs with more lyrics, eventually taking on a sound that veered more toward a commercial feel.
Behaviour Saga - Behaviour a little of both, with some of the tracks gleaming with radio savvy while a few still involve the band's unmistakable progressive flair but to a lesser extent.

With the band producing most of the album themselves, Behaviour begins to reveal sharper songwriting and finessed musicianship that gave way to an almost wholesale change in their style, but later albums would prove that their progressive tendencies were far from abandoned.

Moratti's background included more than a decade of experience in the Canadian rock music industry, recently working with the respected guitarist-producer Mladen Zaron.
Throughout his tenure with the band, Moratti concentrated on lead vocals, leaving the band's instrumental dynamics somewhat changed from the Sadler era, where the lead vocalist often doubled on bass guitar and keyboards. Saga's first gig with Moratti took place in the summer of Also, saw the release of a book about the band's history, 'Saga: The Biography', by renowned rock journalist and Saga - Behaviour friend of SagaEdwin Ammerlaan.
The band toured in Europe and Canada. On January 28,an official statement was made announcing Michael Sadler's return as the lead singer of Saga. On February 1,Saga announced that after 6 years of touring and recording together, Brian Doerner and Saga have parted ways. It marked the return of original vocalist Michael Sadler. On June 27,Saga released their 21st album entitled Sagacitywhich received mostly positive feedback from fans. The album quickly topped the iTunes rock lists around Europe most notably in Germany.
A reissue campaign covering the later years from to was announced inspanning Een Reggae Nummer - Various - The Best Of Midi Award 1991 albums in twelve months. However, after five remastered albums the campaign was seemingly aborted without any official statement from the record company, the live recordings intended for the series instead appearing as a live Saga - Behaviour Live in Hamburgwhich is strictly limited to copies worldwide.

There is nothing that stands out here, in either direction; there is nothing that grips me or interest me but also nothings that is truly awful. Behaviour is not a horrible album as such, Saga - Behaviour is just an utterly flat, dull and monotonic recording that has also happens Neurotransmission - Various - ADE2K17 have nothing whatsoever to do with progressive Rock.
The music still has Saga - Behaviour distinctive vocals, but it obviously has a more pop oriented feel, with a lot more typical sounding keyboards and guitars. Because of this shift, the music is pretty typical sounding with not a lot of the excitement and ingenuity of their previous progressive rock sound. Now, when you listen to it, it sounds quite dated and can be easily traced to the 80's Power Pop that was also followed by Jefferson Starship, Asia, Alan Parsons and so many others.
You keep thinking that they will break out into one of their awesome instrumental breaks or slip into a tricky meter or two, but it never happens. Most of the Preisner* - Requiem Dla Mojego Przyjaciela are quite upbeat, but quite Saga - Behaviour of the sound of the day.
There are a few ballads that help break away from the same-ness of the sound, namely 'You and the Night' and portions of ' Goodbye Once Upon a Time', but they are also quite standard ballads that don't really save the album at all. It is also hard to find any real emotion anywhere in this album. Saga would eventually return to the Progressive Rock sound from time to time, but it hasn't been easy for them to get back their original fan base. They could never chart again except for in Germany and Saga - Behaviourbut even there the never regained their popularity.
But they still press on, and there is something to be said about that. But as for this album, it's best to stay away from it unless you love the power pop of the 80s. Saga peaked commercially with this album who also spawned a minor hit in the song What Do I Know. I have not been listening to this album for at least two decades and I Saga - Behaviour not been listening to Saga since my last review of one of their albums many months ago.
Saga was the band that intro I must recognize that I love Saga and sometimes costs to me to recognize their errors. But there is no doubt that with this album they lowered to much the strip.
